Senior management

Dr Parker joined the Group in 2002 and has been the Chief Executive Officer since this time.He is the former president and chief executive officer of Marconi Optical Components ("MOC").

Under his leadership, MOC was sold to Bookham Technology in February 2002.Prior to this, Dr Parker was vice president general manager of Agilent Technologies’ Ipswich components operation and a corporate vice president of Agilent. During his tenure, this business unit became the market leader in the supply of high performance networking components.In previous roles,

Dr Parker has gained experience in manufacturing and research and development and business development.

Dr Parker serves as a non-executive director on the board of Zinwave, Inc. and was formerly a member of the supervisory board of Xignal Technologies AG. He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Physics in 1997. Dr Parker has a Ph.D from Imperial College, University of London and a BSc from the University of Leeds.

Dr. rer. pol.Lars Grünert - Executive Vice President of the TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG, CFO of the Laser Technology/Electronics business division, responsible for the central departments IT and processes as well as organizational development.

Born 1968 in Berlin, Dr. Grünert studied Business Administration and Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany.

From 1993 to 2002 he worked for the consulting companies Horváth & Partner and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Afterwards he headed the controlling department of TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH + Co. KG in Ditzingen, Germany. Since 2005 Dr. Grünert has been CFO of TRUMPF Laser GmbH + Co. KG in Schramberg, Germany, and since 2008 of SPI Lasers, Southampton, UK. Since 2010 he is Executive Vice President of the TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG, CFO of the Laser Technology/Electronics business division, responsible for the central departments IT and processes as well as organizational development.

Dr.-Ing. E.h. Peter Leibinger  Vice Chairman of the TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG and President of the Laser Technology and Electronics Division.

Born 1967 in Stuttgart studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany.

From 1997 to 1999, Development Engineer at Ingersoll Milling Machine Company, Rockford, IL, USA. From 1999 to 2003, Chairman and CEO, TRUMPF, Inc., Farmington, CT, USA. Since 2000 Managing Director, TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG.

Since July 2003 President of the Laser Technology Business Division and from 2003 to 2005 CEO, TRUMPF Laser GmbH + Co. KG. In November 2005 Peter Leibinger was appointed Vice Chairman of the TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG. He is Head of the Laser Technology and Electronics Division and responsible for group-wide research and development and for new business fields.

Leibinger serves in several honorary functions.

In February 2011 a honorary doctorate was awarded to Leibinger by the Technical University of Dresden.
